ASFIXIA / ANUNNAKI REVENGE – split LP

 Asfixia from Bilbao (Basque country) are powerful yet sublime. They have this really raw crisp sound, dark and melodic at times with great rasping vocals. But now unfortunately are split up since 2007. Also included on this is a great version of the song ‘Product’ by the old German crust band Lost World. Annunaki Revenge who are on the next side are also from the Basque country. Their side consists of six songs of crusty hardcore with gruff vocals. They but me in mind at times of the ferocious crusty Greek punk of the early nineties/late eighties. Then other times it can be very melodic but still very intense. As far as I’m aware they sing impassionately of the absence of hope in modern life. The release is a benefit for an anarchist printing collective based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque country.  Bandcamp
